Teaming Works equips Managers and CEOs who desire to see their team thrive in the workplace. Strength-based development helps achieve greater levels of collaboration leading to increased productivity, staff satisfaction and well-being.

Teaming Works offers four individualised workshops to enhance teamwork. While each workshop is designed to build upon the learnings of prior sessions, teams will take useful insights into their work life from each session.

What does coaching look like?

The information below is an overview of the coaching sessions that Teaming Works offers. Each session builds upon the last, giving your team a greater undestanding of their strengths and how to apply them.

Session 1: Individual Discovery

For the individual

Participants

Individuals within the team are currently unaware of how incredibly unique they are and how using their Strengths can bring a greater impact.

Benefit

Individuals within the team will have a personal two-hour coaching session focussing on their top 10 Strengths from Gallup StrengthsFinder assessment. These sessions are tailored to each person enabling them to understand how their unique talents influence their choices and direct their actions and why they are better at some things than others.

These individual sessions are foundational in equipping individuals for the team sessions that will follow.

Outcome

The participants will be stimulated and motivated through this session which will facilitate growth, development and performance of each individual. These individual sessions have the content of three personal coaching sessions wrapped into in one focussed session.

Feedback from this session will be provided to the manager or team leader and the participant.

Session 2: The Best of Me

With team insight

Team

Teams are doing their best to work cohesively without understanding how each other actually function best.

Benefit

Within these sessions we take time to understand each person's talents and strengths and gain a greater appreciation of each other's uniqueness. We will take the time to see how we complement each other and also become aware of any Strengths gaps within the team.

We will discover common themes and differences which bring strength to a team, understanding who are our strategic thinkers, our executors, our influencers and our relationship builders in this team.

Outcome

The team will have a greater appreciation for what each person can bring to the team. Understanding each other’s strengths will foster respect and stimulate and motivate the ongoing development of the team and team leader.

Session 3: The Best of Us

For the team

Team

The team now have a greater appreciation for each other’s Strengths and for the part they play.

Benefit

These sessions are about “US” as a team not just me as part of the team. The team are not looking simply at a personal response to questions, but how to respond together as a team. This builds a collaborative view of teamwork; how to get the best of each other, what is needed to work together well; understanding and heading off frustrations; and what the team can be relied upon for.

Outcome

These sessions will build greater collaboration, resulting in agreed upon statements which the team can always refer to about who they are and what they can do together.

Session 4: Better Together

For the team

Team

The team now has an understanding of how to work more effectively together and how to draw the best from each other from a collaborative approach.

Benefit

Continuing to build upon their Strengths, both individually and collectively these sessions unpack how we work, serve and become more effective together.

The team take a look how our personal values align with that of the organisation.

Outcome

The team will be more productive together and individually. This will provide greater personal satisfaction as they can be a stronger version of themselves. In turn this should provide a more effective team synergy and a deeper sense of ownership to the organisation.

How to Get Unstuck

Team

After completing session 4, ‘Better Together’ the team have their list of values. It’s time to see how these values and strengths can support us during moments of frustration, disappointment or setback.

Benefit

We begin with looking at what are some reasons we get ‘stuck’, and nobody likes feeling stuck in life! What simple things could we do to become ‘unstuck’.

Inevitably, we all face challenges and disappointments in the workplace. The important thing is our ability to be resilient and bounce back from these setbacks, to be effective for our clients, within our team, for the organisation and of course ourselves. We look at practical steps to outwork this.

Outcome

Understanding your ability as individuals and as a team to be able to rebound from a set-back disappointment or frustration.

Authenticity and Resilience

Team

As a team we want to be authentic in our approach to each other and to our partners or clients. How would we intensify or modify a talent so that you are able to self-regulate in a situation.

  • The Balcony and Basement of our talents (what are our triggers)
  • Our Ability to Self-Regulate – How to intensify or modify your talents personally and in partnership with each other

Outcome

You can choose how you face your circumstances. It is about intentionally building your resilience in an authentic way. We call this, your natural ‘Bounce Back’.
